Sr. LabVIEW Engineer

Job description

The Sr. LabVIEW Engineer uses LabVIEW to design and develop software for turnkey test systems for automated test, data acquisition, and control.  Applications involve a variety of technologies including electronic signal conditioning, PXI and instrument control; online data processing and analysis; database SQL. Responsibilities include direct customer contact and moderate travel within the Northwest United States. Flexible long-term career path may include certification, technical trainer, or project manager.

Desired Skills and Experience

Purpose:

Requirements:

  • BS in engineering or science, electrical engineering preferred, MS a plus
  • 7-10 years LabVIEW development experience, NI certification (CLD or CLA) a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fast and eager at learning and applying new technology

Helpful Skills:

  • Strong hands-on hardware troubleshooting and software debugging skills
  • Working knowledge of RF test and measurement instruments
  • Experience with any of the following: signal conditioning, data acquisition, electronic test instruments, C/C++/C#, real-time control, National Instruments hardware (PXI, DAQ, RIO)

Senior Hardware Test Engineer

Job description

Role:

  • Design Verification and Assurance activities of consumer Devices, for 1-2 projects, independently.
  • Activities include, developing, implementation and execution of the test plan (i.e. performing Functional testing and Compatibility testing).
  • Identify test tool requirements, and participate in specification and design reviews.
  • Experience in hardware design and/or hardware test environment required.
  • Experience in similar/comparable product, as consumer Devices, preferred.
  • Capability to analyze hardware and firmware designs with an orientation to identify design risks is a plus.
  • Highly motivated individual with strong project orientation and communication skill preferred.

Additional Key Responsibilities:

  • Be able to execute tests with little to no supervision
  • Find complex bugs, open & track them while recording and informing others of all appropriate and relevant info
  • Develop new and modify existing tests with creative ideas and simplification
  • Be concise and clear in email and documented communications
  • Communicate verbally with integrity and truthfulness both horizontally and vertically
  • Set and track their own project and task level priorities.
  • Be timely with reporting and test execution
Desired Skills and Experience
  • -5 10 years of product development experience, prefer to have direct experience on medium or high-volume consumer electronic devices.
  • Must have in depth knowledge of digital circuit and system level debug with high density PCB designs.
  • Must have solid knowledge of best practices in engineering design and process.
  • Must be a good communicator and capable of working cross-sub-system with all electrical, software, and mechanical groups. Being a self-starter and project lead is a big plus.
  • Experience with a common electrical CAD packages (Allegro, Cadence, OrCAD, etc.) required
  • Electrical/Mechanical digital and analog signal analysis and troubleshooting (expert with scopes/analyzers/analog sensors)
  • Familiar reading schematics and perform basic Circuit Board analysis
  • Understands how to read design specifications and develop relevant test cases
  • MS process knowledge (Product Studio, SharePoint, Office and Excel)
  • Design verification experience in material strength, motion dynamics, vibration, kinematics, structural testing
  • Expertise with mechanical instrumentation & measurement analyzers / sensors

Education: Minimum BSEE, MSEE preferred.

Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Job description

The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will design and generate drawings for test stations, interconnect diagrams, rack assemblies, cable assemblies, interface test adaptors, test fixtures and other mechanical asseblies related to “rack and stack” turn-key automated test systems with attention to detailing, deminsioning, labeling conformal coating and configuration management.

Desired Skills and Experience

Purpose:

Design and generate drawings for test stations, interconnect diagrams, rack assemblies, cable assemblies, parts list, interface test adaptors, test fixtures and other mechanical asseblies related to turn-key automated test systems in AutoCAD and/or Pro-E.

Requirements:

  • BS in engineering or science, mechanical or electrical engineering preferred, MS a plus
  • 7+ years of experience with AutoCAD and Pro-E
  • Proficient in investigating parts compatibility, tolerances, producing release quality drawings.
  • Proficient in preparation for and participating in electrical/mechanical design reviews
  • Proficient in requirements analysis, rapid prototyping and incorporating Engineering Change Order to baseline drawings
  • Proficient in Test Equipment console layout, ITA design, electro-mechanical drafting, 3D design & modeling, machining/manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in producing electrical drawings from varying states of desing, including sketches, layouts, notes or partial drawings provided by electrical engineers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fast and eager at learning and applying new technology

ATE System Design Engineer

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, integrate, debug, document, qualify, and support functional test solutions for complex printed circuit board assemblies and systems. Solutions may include standalone test systems as well as re-usable test modules
  • Partner with internal and external teams to develop and support test solutions for new product testing. Leverage existing solutions as appropriate
  • Ability to travel as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • BSEE or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience developing test solutions for electronic products
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
  • Statistical analysis capabilities required
  • common technologies such as audio, video, RF, digital, analog, USB, image processing is expected
  • Delivering solutions for high-volume production is preferred
  • Requires ability to troubleshoot to root cause and solve complex problems
  • Job involves very detailed technical tasks – must understand product specifications as well as test equipment operation

Additional responsibilities include project management of outside development partners, support for production qualification and ongoing cost reduction. Expertise in software development for test systems is preferred.

Excellent communication skill is required and some domestic and international travel is required.

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience with software languages such as C, VB, or Labview is preferred.

Test executives, such as TestStand, and automatic data collection is preferred.
